Generating AI Images
Use Image Generator to create AI images and optionally upload them to WordPress as WebP.
Steps
- Open Image Generator in the sidebar
- Write an Image prompt describing what you want
- Choose Size:
- Square (1024×1024)
- Portrait (1024×1536)
- Landscape (1536×1024) — default, great for featured images
- Click Generate Image (costs 1 credit)
After Generation
- Preview appears with prompt and size details
- Under Upload to WordPress, pick a site, set Alt text, optional file name, then click Upload to WordPress (saved as WebP)
- Recent Images keeps local history for about 7 days
Better prompts = better images: Include subject, setting, lighting, and style — e.g. “serene mountain lake at sunset with pine trees, soft natural light, photo-realistic”.
Cost: 1 credit per image.
Converting to WebP
Image Converter optimizes existing images to WebP for faster pages — separate from Image Generator.
Steps
- Open Image Converter in the sidebar
- Drag & drop an image or click to browse (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF — max 20 MB)
- Adjust WebP Quality (10%–100%) — lower = smaller file
- Click Convert to WebP
After Conversion
- Compare original vs new size
- Download the WebP file
- Or upload to WordPress: choose a site, add alt text, and upload
Why WebP? Often 25–35% smaller than JPEG/PNG at similar quality, which helps page speed and Core Web Vitals.
